Following in the footsteps of the first iOS 13, iPadOS, and macOS Catalina public betas, Apple today released the first public beta of tvOS 13. This allows anyone with a compatible Apple TV to test drive the software before its released to the general public this fall.
tvOS 13 is light on new features, but they’re notable nonetheless. Here’s a rundown of what’s new.
- Updated home screen w/ full-screen video previews
- Multi-user support
- Xbox One S and PlayStation DualShock 4 controller support
- Updated screen savers
To install the first tvOS 13 public beta, you’ll have to go through beta.apple.com in order to enroll your Apple TV in the program. Afterward, you’ll receive public beta OTAs until this autumn.
