After a lengthy wait period between now and when Android Pie officially came out, Huawei has finally begun rolling out EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie to the US version of the Mate 10 Pro. The device, up until this point, has been running 2017’s Oreo and has barely received any software updates from its creator. Now, though, the new software is beginning to hit units across the country. Android Police was first to spot this.
To update to Android Pie on your Mate 10 Pro, visit the software updates section of the settings app. There, you should find the Pie upgrade ready to install which should weigh about 4GB in size. Huawei says the new software offers speed improvements, faster app opening times, improved game performance, and new features thanks to EMUI 9.0. You don’t get Google’s Digital Wellbeing, but what did you expect anyway?
