JBL Link Bar with Google Assistant Gets Delayed Again Until Summer

JBL has had a hard time trying to launch its Link Bar, a soundbar that serves as a speaker, a Google Home, and an Android TV box all in one. It was delayed not too long ago and received a release time frame of this spring. However, JBL is delaying the device yet again, this time until mid-to-late summer, as reported by Android Police.

The company doesn’t give any reason as to why it delayed the Link Bar again. Maybe it’s because of how ambitious it is. After all, it’s gonna serve three different purposes at once. And since you’ll be able to control the entire experience with your voice, there’s a good chance the necessary voice actions aren’t ready yet.

Still, it’s unfortunate that the device won’t hit store shelves until perhaps August. It was originally unveiled during Google I/O 2018, and now, I/O 2019 will come sooner than this thing can go on sale.
