Apple Analyst Suggests AirPower Will Ship in First Half of 2019

Apple’s AirPower wireless charging mat has been delayed for some time. It was originally supposed to come out in 2018 after being unveiled in 2017, but so far, the device hasn’t left the possession of its creator. Now, we’re hearing from well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac) who suggests the accessory will launch in the near future.

According to a gigantic report that details everything from iPhones to iPads to Macs, Kuo says Apple’s AirPower will launch in the first half of 2019. We’ve heard previous rumors suggest the same thing, but hearing it from Kuo makes the rumor ever more trustworthy.

Speaking of wireless charging, Kuo also suggests Apple will introduce its newest AirPods this year with a wireless charging case. No specific time frame for their launch was given, but it shouldn’t be too long after AirPower hits the market, perhaps alongside the next iPhones.
