As reported by multiple outlets today including Thurrott and The Verge, Spotify is readying a new feature that will allow users to block certain artists on the platform. The feature can be found within the three-dot menu button at the top of an artist’s page. Once there, hit “Don’t play this artist” and Spotify will block that artist’s content from playing regardless if you play it manually or if it comes on automatically during a radio station or after a playlist ends.

According to Spotify, the feature’s rolling out to a small number of users at this point, and only on iOS. I got the feature on my iPhone and captured the screenshots you see above. It’s unclear when/if Spotify plans to make the feature available to everyone, but we’ll let you know when that time comes.
