Following the release of a redesign for the browser earlier this month, Google has begun rolling out version 69 of Chrome OS to compatible devices that brings a lot of features in tow. Most notably, Chrome OS users will now enjoy the same Material redesign as the rest of us with brighter whites and a more two-dimensional aesthetic.
According to Google, this isn’t the only change. Users will also gain access to improved search functionality thanks to an upgraded Omnibar which can now display results for search queries much faster. You also gain access to Night Light, Google’s blue light-filtering tool that can benefit your eyes while working at night. There’s also improved tablet mode behavior, a refreshed Files app, support for running Linux apps, and faster access to emojis.
Users of Chrome OS can expect this upgrade to hit their devices in the very near future.
