Microsoft is hosting an event next month where the company is expected to unveil upgraded versions of its Surface Pro and Laptop devices. While we haven’t heard too much in terms of what upgrades will be present besides the usual spec bumps, new reports out of Thurrott and WindowsUnited claim the new gadgets will come in a new finish: black.
Historically, Microsoft has released silver versions of its Surface devices along with other finishes like red, blue, and gold. The company isn’t a stranger to black devices, having released a variant of the Surface RT back in the day with the finish. But if today’s reports rule out to be true, the Surface Pro and Laptop will stand as the first two modern-day Microsoft devices with the color option.
In addition, we’re also expecting the new Surface devices to adopt USB-C connectivity and an LTE option.
We’ll be covering all the news that comes out of Microsoft’s event next month so be sure to stay tuned.
