A new report out of CNET claims to shed light on OnePlus’ next smartphone, the OnePlus 6T. According to the article, the 6T will be released later this year for $550 and have one huge perk: it’ll be sold through T-Mobile.
According to the report, T-Mobile will be the exclusive carrier partner of the OnePlus 6T once it launches this October. A special version of the phone specifically optimized for T-Mobile’s network will be sold through the carrier. Meanwhile, there will likely also be an unlocked version of the device available through OnePlus’ website.
If this report proves to be true, it’ll mark the first time a OnePlus device made it to a US carrier. So far, OnePlus has been selling its devices exclusively through its website in the United States, leaving the market of those who purchase phones exclusively through carriers unfamiliar with the company. Therefore, simply by launching the phone on the market, more people will become associated with the company and its offerings.
Until we know for certain, however, it’ll remain unclear as to whether OnePlus will pull the trigger and launch its next flagship on the Uncarrier’s network. We’ll, of course, keep you updated on any future developments.
