A new report has surfaced that aims to provide some guidance as to where you’ll be able to buy one of the rumored dual-SIM iPhones that will be released this year. According to the article published by the Economic Daily News, Apple’s upcoming 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will have two variants: one with a single SIM slot and another with dual SIM slots exclusively sold in China.
The report calls the new iPhone the “iPhone 9” for lack of a better name. The device is said to be the cheaper variant among the three iPhones we’re expecting, with one 5.8-inch model immediately preceding the iPhone X while another 6.5-inch variant offers a “Plus”-sized experience for those who want a bigger phone. With the cheaper model, you’ll get slim bezels and Face ID, but there will probably only be one camera on the back alongside an LCD display with no 3D Touch.
In a nutshell, you’ll have to buy the cheaper iPhone if you want two SIM card slots. This is rather unfortunate since most consumers would appreciate two SIM slots in a more premium device. Of course, we can’t confirm this report for ourselves so take it with a grain of salt, but for now, this is where things stand.
