Details surrounding Apple’s 2018 lineup of iPhones have been unraveling for months at this point, and we’re now starting to learn a few tidbits before the devices are unveiled next month.

According to a new Barclays research note spotted by MacRumors, the 2018 iPhones won’t include a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box. This comes after Apple made the switch to the adapter after removing the headphone jack altogether from the iPhone 7. Cirrus Logic, a supplier of the dongle, indicated to MacRumors that the accessory won’t be included in the box.

While the adapter won’t come for free any longer, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll still be able to purchase it for $9 separately like you can now. Alternatively, if you currently own a headphone jack-less iPhone, you’ll probably be able to use its adapter with the new models once they arrive.

Still, by removing the dongle from the packaging of the new iPhones, it’s clear Apple wants to push users to adopt wireless headphones, something a majority of the world has yet to do.

We’ll keep you posted on anything else that surfaces about the next iPhones.
