We’ve been awaiting the release of new iPad Pros since last year, and it looks like 2018 will see the fruition of the new devices according to multiple reports in the past. Now, a new leak found within the latest iOS 12 beta supposedly confirms what the new tablet will look like from the front.
According to an icon discovered by 9to5Mac while digging around in iOS 12 beta 5, the next iPad will supposedly come with slimmer bezels than its predecessors, lining up with current rumors that suggest the same. Interestingly, the iPad Pro pictured doesn’t come with a home button or notch, further suggesting the tablet will utilize swiping gestures for navigation and an ultra-slim bezel at the top of the screen to house the necessary Face ID sensors.
If you recall, this isn’t the first time Apple’s software revealed what a future device would look like. Last year, the HomePod’s firmware made its way to the internet which revealed the front of the iPhone X, notch and all. In this case, we’re looking at the face of a new iPad that’s been rumored for quite some time.
While none of this speculation has been confirmed just yet, it’s pretty safe to bet the next iPad will look something like this. We’ll keep you posted with any future leaks.
