Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Now Getting Android Oreo

Browse By

After all four major US carriers started rolling the upgrade out to devices on their networks, Samsung has started seeding unlocked Galaxy Note 8 variants with Android 8.0 Oreo. The software includes the March security patch and weighs in around 1GB or so. You’ll want to jump on Wi-Fi to download it so your data isn’t sacrificed.

With Oreo on the Note 8, users can enjoy Samsung Experience 9.0, the same skin on top of the Galaxy S9 and Oreo for the S8. You also get access to features such as picture-in-picture, autofill, improved speed, better battery life, enhanced security, App Shortcuts, and more.

Be sure to jump on Wi-Fi before installing since the update could eat up your cellular data pretty fast.
