Google Play Movies on Android Simplifies Search and Offers Streaming Options

Google today announced its updating Play Movies on Android with an improved search experience and streaming options for TV shows and movies.

Now, in the app, instead of sifting through all the available content, you can just search via genre depending on your mood. You can also see where content is streamable across streaming services, including  ABC, CBS, Fox Now, NBC, Hulu, HBO Now, HBO Go, Showtime, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Now, HGTV, BET Now, and Comedy Central. Notably, Netflix is missing from that list, so here’s to it being added in the near future.

Additionally, Google now lets you rate TV shows and movies by tapping the thumbs up or thumbs down button in content listings. You can also add different shows and films to a new watchlist so you can be alerted when they’re available for rent, purchase, streaming, and whether they received a price drop.

The changes are rolling out to all users now.
