OnePlus is back in the news today as a fresh leak out of Weibo (via The Verge) supposedly details the company’s upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone. According to the leak, the phone will sport up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While that’s nice and all, it looks like the price tag won’t be as pleasing.

In the leak, pricing information for the OnePlus 6 is shown, and it suggests the handset will cost a hefty $749. Admittedly, by today’s standards, $749 isn’t that bad when you consider the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8 cost around $1,000. But OnePlus has a history of releasing phones with flagship specifications at reduced prices around $500, so seeing this steep of a price hike is rather surprising.

Of course, this leak may be completely fake since nothing is confirmed just yet. But at least for now, anyone looking to pick up a OnePlus 6 when it goes on sale better start saving up.
