Instagram has announced its updating its mobile apps to support links to other users and hashtags in your bio. Before, if you added an @username or #hashtag to your personal bio, all you had was static text that couldn’t take you anywhere within the app. Now, however, when tapping these elements, you’ll be redirected. This comes after the company allowed users to follow hashtags.

It also comes before clickable links can be added to captions of photos and videos. Many users have been complaining about this for years now, but there’s no sign Instagram has any plans to add them just yet. Perhaps, though, today’s new update is a sign of things to come in the future.

The new feature is hitting both iOS and Android users now.
