Facebook today updated its Messenger Lite messaging app with the ability to video call your contacts. This comes after the company initially made the app more widely available as an alternative to the main Messenger app that, at this point, is so bogged down with features it isn’t funny.

By offering video calls in Messenger Lite, I feel like more users will be able to enjoy the app a bit more than before. Personally, I couldn’t get myself to switch to the lighter version of the app because of just how basic it was. But now, I think I’m gonna give it another shot and see if I can make it my primary way of messaging my Facebook friends.

The update is rolling out to all users of the app now.
