Instagram Tests Letting You Repost Content to Your Story

We’ve all been asking Instagram to let us repost photos and videos from our timeline to our profile for years, and third-party apps have helped with that. But finally, after years of complaints from users, it looks like the social network is giving in. Kind of.

According to TechCrunch who confirmed the test with Instagram, the photo-sharing service is currently developing a feature where you can share pictures and videos in your timeline to your Story. You’ll be able to adjust how the content looks and even edit it with effects much like you already can. An example of the feature from Zachary Shakked can be found below.

Right now, Instagram is just testing the feature likely with a select number of users. If you wanna see if you’re in that group, you’ll need to hit the little paper plane icon below a photo or video in your feed and see if the “Add post to your story” option is there. Certainly, let us know if it is right here.
