Virgin Mobile Now Sells Certified ‘Pre-Loved’ iPhones

Virgin Mobile has announced it will now begin selling certified “pre-loved” iPhones to customers who may not be able to afford a new device. The devices have received testing and inspections according to Apple’s standards and include a new battery, the latest version of iOS, a new pair of EarPods in the box, and a new wall charger. They also come with a one-year Apple limited warranty.

“With the Certified Pre-Loved iPhone, Virgin Mobile now offers the world’s most popular phone at a price that makes it easy to afford,” said Doug Smith, chief operating officer and general manager of Virgin Mobile USA. “And you can rest assured that your iPhone is backed by a one-year Apple limited warranty.”

Virgin Mobile says they’re currently offering refurbished iPhone 6s and 6s Plus units for $279.99 up to $399.99. Next month, the carrier plans on adding the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to the lineup for $379.99 up to $499.99. If you sign up as a new customer, you’ll also be eligible for Virgin’s $1 unlimited plan which gets you unlimited data, talk, and text for six months. Afterward, you’ll need to pay $50 per month to remain on the same plan.

If you need a motive to buy a certified pre-loved iPhone 6s this holiday season, each refurbished device comes with a free $100 Amazon.com gift card so you can go grab some accessories or just do some shopping. All in all, it’s a pretty sweet deal for what you get for the price you pay.
