Essential’s first smartphone has seen yet another price drop. After permanently receiving a discount to $499, Sprint has introduced a temporary deal for Black Friday that will score you the phone for just $145. Now, if you choose to purchase the handset on the carrier’s Sprint Flex plan and trade in an eligible smartphone, you can pick up the Essential PH-1 for $25 down and $5/month for 24 months. After 12 months, you’ll be eligible for an upgrade, so you’ll only spend just $85 to use the device for a year. Note these totals don’t include taxes or fees.

Here’s the list of phones you can trade in to be eligible for this deal.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S8/+
  • Apple iPhone X
  • Apple iPhone 8/Plus
  • Sprint Deals phones (usually cheap phones from Sprint)

For $145, the Essential Phone shouldn’t disappoint. It has a bezel-less 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a camera cutout at the top, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, dual rear cameras, Android Nougat (soon to be upgraded to Oreo), 3040mAh battery, and a ceramic/titanium body. $499 is a great price for this handset, and now that this cost has been undercut by around three fourths, now’s a good time to pick it up.
