Instagram has announced you can now upload photos to your Story via its mobile website. The company is looking to expand the reach of its Snapchat clone by giving users the option of uploading through their favorite web browser rather having to use their app. The update should be live for everyone now.

While you can upload photos to Instagram Stories from the web, you can’t add stickers, effects, or other fun features. In fact, only text can be applied to pictures which is pretty limiting. You also can’t upload videos to your Stories, at least not yet. Plus, the feature doesn’t work from your desktop so don’t even think about uploading to your Story from there. Still, it’s a nice feature to have if, say, you have no room left on your phone to hold the actual Instagram app and wanna remain active on the platform.
