This Picture Could Depict an Alien Spacecraft on Mars

It seems every other day there’s a new photograph of the Red Planet being analyzed in search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. A new image, seen here, claims to do the same when looked at by folks around the web. However, this particular picture is perhaps more interesting than the rest…

In the image, a large unknown object can be seen smack in the middle of a portion of Mars. By zooming in, you’ll notice it, to an extent, resembles something out of a science fiction movie. Skeptics believe it’s nothing more than a hill or crater, but others believe it could be an alien spacecraft that could’ve crash-landed.

Backing up for a second, this claim seems to be at the heart of every space conspiracy so I wouldn’t think too much of it. But if you’re gonna analyze it, you’ll notice how the light on the picture is shining from different angles throughout, with the crater showing the most difference what with its various shadows and patterns. It’s also rather hard to get into the nitty-gritty of things since you can’t really zoom in as far as some might need so guesses will likely fly through the air until an ultra-high-res version is available. You know, if that ever happens.

Whether it’s a spacecraft remains to be seen, but for now, it looks like we may have another guessing game in the hands of sci-fi geeks and skeptics to debate.
