Apple today released the fifth beta version of iOS 11.1 to all registered beta testers. This comes just three days after the last iOS 11.1 beta was seeded. To install the new build on your registered device, head over to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 11.1 beta listing and you’ll be good to go. I recommend jumping on a Wi-Fi network first alongside plugging in your device beforehand as a) you don’t want data overcharges on your bill and b) you don’t want your phone or tablet to die during the installation process.

In iOS 11.1, Apple is including a suite of new emojis, the much-missed 3D Touch multitasking gesture, and bug fixes throughout. We’ll let you know if we find anything new or noteworthy in this latest beta.

iOS 11 packs a revamped Control Center, redesigned notifications, improvements to Siri including an all-new voice, Do Not Disturb While Driving, and an all-new interface for the iPad with better productivity features, a macOS-style Dock, and a new multitasking view. There’s even an official Files app for all iOS devices that lets you access files stored on your device without having to hunt down a third-party service to do so.
