Apple’s iOS 11.1 Will Bring a Fresh Set of Emoji

AppleApps & SoftwareNews

Written by:

Starting with new developer and public betas next week, Apple will include a fresh set of emoji in iOS 11.1 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users. The new icons are based on those present in Unicode 10 and are already present in other operating systems like Android Oreo. Now, the Cupertino company is playing catch-up and will release the new emoji not only for iOS users but also those with a Mac or Apple Watch in the future.

Images of the new emoji shipping with iOS 11.1 next week can be found below which range from new gender-neutral characters, different foods, apparel, and even the Love-You Gesture, designed after the “I love you” hand sign in American Sign Language.

Currently, we’re not sure when these new emoji will roll out to everyone but expect it to happen in the near future across various platforms.
