Twitter user and head of social media at The Next Web Matt Navarra tweeted a couple of screenshots yesterday indicating Twitter is currently working on a feature in their mobile app that lets you send out a tweetstorm. In case you’re unfamiliar, a tweestorm is when you send out multiple tweets at the same time in the same thread to extend your message beyond 140 characters. Before, you needed a third-party utility to utilize this function, but it now looks like Twitter will soon add it to their own apps.

Obviously, Twitter hasn’t commented on this feature just yet so it’s likely still under strict development. It remains unclear when the update will ship that includes the function, but we’ll, of course, let you know when it does.
