Apple’s upcoming, bezel-less, OLED, face recognizing, pricey-as-ever iPhone will be called the iPhone X. The news comes as developer Steve T-S on Twitter discovers the name within the leaked iOS 11 Gold Master seed which detailed the handset alongside the LTE-enabled Apple Watch Series 3.

While this isn’t 100% confirmation this is what Apple will call the fancy new smartphone, it is our biggest indication as of yet that this is what they’ll call it come Tuesday, September 12th. In addition, the rumored iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will instead be called the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, two names that would better reflect the design and spec changes Apple is making to the follow-ups of last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Previously, case manufacturers said the phones would be called the 8, 8 Plus, and Edition, so they got it right at least partially.

Of course, there’s always a possibility that Apple could make a name change for one or all of these new iPhones before Tuesday, so you shouldn’t set your heart on these being the final names given to the next generations of the device originally debuted back in 2007. That being said, we’re pretty sure this is it, so place your bets accordingly.

Now comes the fun part: is it iPhone “10 (Ten)” or iPhone “Ex?”
