Google Officially Unveils Android 8.0 Oreo

Today during a special event in New York during the total solar eclipse, Google officially took the wraps off the name of the next version of Android: Android 8.0 Oreo. Before, we strictly knew the OS as Android O, but now we have a proper name that fits in with recent rumors surrounding the software update.

For your viewing pleasure, here’s a photo of the official statue for Android Oreo.

For now, it remains unclear when Oreo will roll out to Pixel and Nexus devices, but we’ll let you know when it happens.
