There’s a lot of hype around Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone today. After the device officially launched and was detailed in a blog post, the device has also popped up for pre-order on Amazon for $699. Both colors are available (Black Moon and Pure White) while the current release date for the device sits on September 1. Whether the same date applies to other retailers including Sprint and Best Buy remains a mystery.
