Starting today, Instagram will be updating its commenting system so it makes more sense to users. Rather replying to a comment with just a username, ongoing conversations in the comment section will now be organized into chat threads. The change should clean up the comments of any post that has multiple users responding to each other.


No change needs to take place on your behalf. Rather, this feature will begin rolling out automatically to all iOS and Android users now, with everyone getting it “in the coming weeks,” according to Instagram. Just last week, the social platform announced they were working to allow two users on the same live stream. Obviously, Instagram isn’t slowing down anytime soon with new features.
