Essential Holding Two Events to Show Off Their Phone Later This Month

Essential has begun inviting people to two events they’re holding in both New York and Los Angelas to show off their upcoming Essential Phone. If you recall, the handset has been delayed multiple times and has yet to be given an official release date. However, according to founder Andy Rubin, we should have a solid time frame soon.

The two invites being sent to random people list August 21st and the 25th as the dates for when the events will be held. They’ll each occur between 6 and 8 PM local time, with both addresses being blurred out, for whatever reason. Droid-Life shared the invitation for the event in West Hollywood, while a reader sent us the NY invite to share.

We’ve reached out to Essential to confirm the events. Stay tuned.

The Essential Phone has a 5.7-inch 2560×1312 bezel-less display, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, Android 7.1 Nougat, dual 13MP cameras, Bluetooth 5, and a 3040mAh battery sealed into a ceramic and titanium body.
