LG is horrible at keeping their new smartphones secrets before they’re formally announced. We’ve already heard much about the upcoming V30 regarding its features and design, and now we’re getting another look at the handset thanks to new videos first spotted by Droid-Life.
The videos were uploaded by HITRECORD, an organization founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt that basically showcases what people can do with LG phones. They’re currently holding a competition which requires video submissions, and some of the entries have leaked on the internet.
As you can see thanks to some screenshots that were taken, we’re getting another look at the back of the V30. It’s made out of glass and houses dual rear cameras with an LED flash and LG/V30 branding on the top and bottom. The front is also previewed which features a 6-inch Quad HD+ OLED FullVision display with rounded corners and curved sides. All in all, the entire package looks pretty slick and premium when compared to other handsets on the market like the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The bezels on the V30 also appear to have shrunken. The same thing took place with the LG G6 earlier this year, but they’re now more on par with the Galaxy S8 and could even be thinner. We’ll have to wait until the device is actually announced to know for sure, but it does look like it at least for now.
While not much new information is shared in the videos, at least we’re getting some early previews of what the device will look like in real-world use. I’m sure we’ll hear more as the V30’s release date creeps up on us which is set for August 31st during IFA 2017.
