Facebook Testing Flatter UI for Mobile App

Facebook looks to be currently beta testing a new, much Flatter UI for its Mobile app, at least on Android. The UI now features wireframe-type icons and a new look for shared links. We received the new design on an Android 7.1 Nougat device with the beta version of the Facebook app installed.

Right now, it’s unclear whether Facebook will roll out the new look to all users or if they’re simply beta testing things just for the heck of it. Obviously, this change will likely be received appreciatively by users of the app since it appears cleaner and fresh compared to it’s old design. We’ll update this article with any other changes we find.
