HTC recently unveiled that their flagship U11 smartphone would begin receiving Amazon Alexa support on July 17th. Well, that day has come, and the company has fulfilled their promise by rolling out a fresh software update and app that’s now available for free download from the Google Play Store.

Alexa is activatable by either saying, “Alexa, do this or that” or by squeezing your phone thanks to HTC’s Edge Sense. All of its functions should work, but Alexa can’t display any information and (for some reason) it can’t handle reminders just yet.

If you wanna give it a go, visit your U11’s settings to see if there’s a software update available. If there is, download and install it. Then, install the HTC Alexa app from the Play Store. After that, start bugging Alexa for stuff and give Google a break.
