Apple Previews New Emoji for iOS, macOS, and watchOS for World Emoji Day

It’s World Emoji Day, and for some reason, we need to dedicate a whole 24 hours to a collection of icons that includes a middle finger and blob of poo because that’s the way we communicate now. But don’t let that get you down because there’s more emoji on the way thanks to Unicode 10, and Apple has previewed some of its adoptions you’ll soon find on iOS, macOS, and watchOS.

As you can see, new additions include a genie, a sandwich, a coconut, a steak, a dinosaur, and even a zera. There’s a ton more, but you may as well take a look at the slideshow below instead of reading them all to get a feel for what to expect later on.

Assumingly, these 56 new emoji will debut in iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, and watchOSย 4 when they’re released this fall. We’ve reached out to Apple to confirm.
