The New Ticwatch S and E Offer Android Wear 2.0 at Budget Prices

Mobvoi has been in the smartwatch game for a while now, but they never really embraced current trends in the industry. For instance, with last year’s Ticwatch 2, they built their own OS and tried to do things their way. This didn’t really fly very well with those in the U.S., so naturally they had to do something. And for 2017, they have. And for cheap.

Over on Kickstarter, the company has introduced the new Ticwatch S and E. These new smartwatches run Android Wear 2.0 in the U.S. and start at just $119.

Starting with the former, the Ticwatch S (where S stands for Sport) includes a durable body suitable for working out. It features a 1.4-inch OLED display, a MediaTek MTK MT2601 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and an IP67 rating. It also uses Mobvoi’s own fitness software, but since it’s Android Wear, you can always just use Google Fit or some other third-party app.

There’s also a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and GPS in the Sport.

All of these specifications are carried over to the E (where E stands for Express) which houses them in a slimmer, prettier body. The E also features interchangeable bands which the S unfortunately lacks.

All of this being said, the latest Ticwatches offer great value for the money you pay. The Ticwatch E starts at a shocking $99 and will retail for $159. The S currently starts at just $119 and will retail for just $199 when the campaign ends. In addition, special bundles are being offered where you can purchase either watch and a set of $79 Ticpods earbuds.
