LG’s V30 is pretty intensely anticipated by many Android enthusiasts who desire a quad DAC, dual cameras, professional camera software, a big screen, and an even bigger price tag. This year’s variant of the company’s now famous V series smartphones seems to aim to take a different approach with no secondary display and higher-end internals than the G series flagship that launched earlier this year. Now, it looks like while it won’t be stealing any specs, it might be ripping off the G6’s design at least according to new CAD-based renders.

Thanks to a collaboration between OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, we now have supposedly CAD renders of the V30 to base any guesses off of regarding the phone’s design. In the renders, it looks like the phone will be covered in glass with an aluminum or metal frame for the border, There will also be dual cameras and an LED flash on the back, with a fingerprint sitting directly below. A display that could either measure 5.7-inches or 6-inches sits on the front surrounded by extremely slim bezels; a USB-C port and speaker align the bottom; and a headphone jack, for some odd reason, is on the top this time around. All in all, this phone looks to be simply a much larger G6 with better specs.

In case you’re wondering, these renders reveal the exact dimensions of the V30 will be 151.4 x 75.2 x 7.4 mm which is much smaller than the V20 which measure in at 159.7 x 78.1 x 7.6mm. In a nutshell, this year’s V smartphone will be wider, thinner, and shorter.

As for exact specs, rumors point to a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 or 6GB of RAM, an OLED display, and no secondary ticker. There will also likely be IP68 water and dust resistance since the phone won’t have a removable battery like the V20. Speaking of the battery, the phone is reported to use a 3,200mAh cell and include wireless charging.

The V30 is rumored to be debuted during IFA 2017, so that means we have a little more than a month to wait before we see this device officially. Stay tuned.
