Amazon’s Alexa Can Now Tell You When Your Order is Out for Delivery

Amazon has updated its voice assistant Alexa with a new capability: out for delivery notifications. Now, when you ask when your item will arrive, Alexa will present you with the option of being notified when it’s going out for delivery. If you opt in, your Echo will light up in yellow lights to indicate the package is almost at your doorstep.

This is just a simple addition to the voice assistant but it may be well worth it come July 11th when Amazon hosts its annual Prime Day. Lots of people are expected to order items that have received deep discounts during Prime Day so it would make sense for them to be curious as to when their orders may arrive, at least considering how congested things could get between the millions of people shopping.
