Google’s Project Fi hasn’t gained any new devices since the Pixel and Pixel XL were introduced, but it now looks like this is about to change. According to a tweet sent from the official Project Fi Twitter handle, it looks like a new “mid-tier” smartphone will be introduced later this year from one of the wireless provider’s partners.
We hear you loud and clear. Keep an eye out for a new Fi-compatible device at a mid-tier price from one of our partners later this year. https://t.co/74U3bq16pa

Of course, we don’t get much information from this tweet about the phone, but we can start the ol’ guessing game up. Will it be LG, Moto, Huawei, or HTC building this device? How much will it cost? What version of Android will it run? Will it have a low-end processor or higher-end chipset? These questions and more should be answered in the near future.
Or at least by the end of the year, whatever comes first.
