Spotify Launches New Group Playlists Feature for Facebook Messenger

Building the weekend playlist with friends is about to get a lot easier. Starting today, you can now create Group Playlists from within Facebook Messenger via Spotify’s music streaming service. Anyone from within your Group Chat can now begin adding songs to a playlist even if they’re not on Spotify by using the Spotify Chat Extension, available via this link.

With Group Playlists for Messenger, users can create new Spotify playlists with friends and immediately begin collaborating to build out their perfect mix. Ideal for parties, road trips, or simply collecting new favorites, Group Playlists provide a seamless way for users to collaborate and share music more easily than ever before.

The new feature should be available for all users of Messenger and the Spotify Chat Extension starting today.
