Instagram Now Allows Users to Save and Share Live Broadcasts

Instagram has updated its iOS and Android apps with the ability to save and later share live broadcasts you’ve hosted on the social media network’s Stories platform that was introduced last August. Currently, Instagram says they have 250 million daily users of Stories and they hope that this feature will please each and every one of them.

After you host a live stream in Stories, you’ll have the option of saving the recording to your phone and sharing it to your Story stream for 24 hours. Essentially, this is Instagram’s way of taking a jab at Periscope who has a very similar feature set.

The new feature should begin rolling out to all users on iOS and Android in the coming days as a part of Instagram v10.26.
