We first reported that Twitter was testing a new design for its Android app that featured a cleaner interface and simpler, rounder iconography. Today, the social media platform formally unveiled the redesign and said it was coming to both iOS and Android over the coming days.

As you can see in the screenshots above, the app looks a lot cleaner than it has in recent memory. The icons have a simpler look to them, while a broader use of white space seems to come into play as well. A new speech bubble icon replaces the previous arrow used to reply to tweets since it became confusing to some users, and the new design even stretches to Twitter’s mobile site as well.

All users of Twitter for iOS and Android can expect the changes soon. Those beta testing the app should see the design changes today.
