Just a couple of days ago, we saw our first official look at a leaked image of the OnePlus 5 due to be debuted in a couple of weeks. While we had this image to base our guesses off of regarding the design of the 5, we didn’t exactly receive confirmation that this was the device itself. However, in a new tweet sent out by OnePlus, we get our first officially official look at the handset, and yup, it looks exactly like the other image from a couple of days ago.

Y’know, it kind of looks like an iPhone 7 Plus, what with the dual camera array, antenna bands, and dark matte black finish. Yeah, there’s been a lot of iPhone clones in the past, but never by OnePlus who have tended to stick with pretty unique looks for their phones. Whelp, it looks like they’ve jumped ship on this factor and are following the rest of the clones out there.
But hey, on the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus isn’t ugly by any means. Let’s just hope the OnePlus 5 doesn’t have the same chunky bezels.
The OnePlus 5 will sport a Snapdragon 835 processor. There’s also whispers the device will have a 1080p display and a smaller footprint over the OnePlus 3, but we won’t know for sure until the handset goes official in the near future. Stay tuned.
