Google Earth is Getting a Major Update on April 18th

Google has started inviting members of the press to a special event in New York City at the Whitney Museum of Art at 8:30 AM to introduce a “brand-new” Google Earth. It’s unclear what Google may have in store, but a cleaner UI and faster mobile apps would certainly be welcomed. It’s also speculated that the company may introduce Google Daydream support. They launched a special version of Earth for the HTC Vive last year, so it would only make sense for them to expand their VR efforts to reach their own platforms. Of course, we’ll have full coverage of the event come next Tuesday so stay tuned.
