Starbucks for iPhone Now Lets You Text Someone a Gift Card

Starbucks has updated their app for iOS with the ability to send gift cards in iMessage and pay for them in Apple Pay. This works via a custom iMessage app titled “Starbucks Gifts” which comes with version 4.3.4 of the application. There’s also some updates in tow regarding push notifications, store locating, and Mobile Order & Pay which has a new look and feel.

We first learned about this feature last month during Starbucks’ annual shareholders meeting. While this function is now rolling out to all iOS users, My Starbucks barista and ordering in your car have yet to come. Stay tuned, however, as we expect these features to drop soon.
