LG’s 2017 Gram Laptops Start at $999 with a Non-Touch Display

Back at CES, we saw LG’s 2017 Gram lineup of super-thin-and-light laptops for the first time. It was unclear how much they’d  run for, but we now have exact pricing details thanks to a press release.

For the standard 13.3-inch models, pricing starts at $999 with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 60Wh 17.5-hour battery. A step up for $1,099 gets you the specs listed here alongside a touch-sensitive display and a shorter-lasting 15-hour battery. All models come with a fingerprint reader for interaction with Windows Hello.

For the 14-inch models, pricing starts at $1,199 and gets you a touchscreen, an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 60Wh 14.5-hour battery. A step up for $1,499 gets you an Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB of SSD storage.

Finally, for the 15.6-inch models, pricing starts at $1,199 for a touchscreen, an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 60Wh 15.2-hour battery. A step up for $1,699 gets you an Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and a shorter-lasting 60Wh 12.5-hour battery.

Note that when LG announced their new Gram laptops, they claimed up to 21 hours of use could be pushed out of them on a full charge. However, in this press release, they’ve adjusted the spec to state that up to 17.5 hours of use can be executed from the least powerful machine, a difference of 3.5 hours.

Starting today, you can begin purchasing the new LG Gram notebooks from retailers including Amazon, Fry’s, B&H, Microcenter, Costco.com, Beach Camera, and Electronics Express.
