Apple Will Hold WWDC 2017 June 5th-9th in San Jose

Apple today announced the official dates for their annual World Wide Developers Conference set to take place June 5th-9th. The location where the initial keynote will take place is the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA. It’s a pretty shift of tradition for the company as they normally hold the event in San Francisco, but it’s not like they don’t have history there as from 1988-2002, Apple held WWDC in this very location.

Normally at WWDC, we’ll hear about the future of Apple’s multiple software platforms including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. We usually don’t hear anything new regarding hardware, so don’t expect a surprise of that kind at this year’s event. In addition, there’s currently no rumors pointing out what Apple may do with their next-gen software updates. Therefore, your guess is as good as ours.

Regarding ticket information, Apple will hold a lottery-type raffle for interested developers to attend WWDC 2017. Tickets cost $1599 and registration begins March 27th at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. For more information, visit Apple’s dedicated WWDC webpage.
