Vernee Will Debut a 10-Core 8GB RAM Smartphone at MWC 2017

Vernee, a Chinese manufacturer who made the Thor we reviewed last year, has a pretty big lineup for Mobile World Congress 2017. The most notable device on their list happens to be the upcoming Apollo 2, and while we don’t have a full list of its specs, we do know that it’ll feature a 10-core processor and a huge 8GB of RAM thanks to a teaser.

As you can see, the Apollo 2 will feature the new MediaTek Helio x30 processor which packs 10 cores with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked in at 2.8GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked in at 2.2GHz, and two Cortex-A35 cores clocked in at 2.0GHz. It’ll also come with up to a massive 8GB of RAM, the new flagship spec for high-end smartphones that’s expected to hit some pretty key players this year, including the Samsung Galaxy S8. In addition, the phone will come with 128GB of storage. And for those who don’t need a lot of power and space, Vernee will offer a variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Alongside the new Apollo 2, Vernee will also be unveiling an upgraded Mars Pro with an octa-core Helio P25 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of space.  Additionally, two battery-f0cused handsets called the Thor E and Thor Plus with 5020mAh and 6050mAh batteries respectively will also be shown off.

We’ll be covering plenty of news out of MWC 2017 so be sure to stay tuned.

  1. This Vernee sounds great 😀 ! i just love that China is trying to overcome that old reputation of “simpy bad products”; but in mobile phones to me their best is AGM : i mean… great specs AND Rugged phones? Hell yeah. PS: have you seen the annoucement of thw X2 ?
