Star Wars: Episode VIII Will Be Called ‘The Last Jedi’

It seems like we’ve been waiting quite a long time for this announcement to come, but we now have word that Episode VIII of the popular Star Wars franchise will be entitled Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

But who’s the last Jedi?

The film marks the final movie that’ll ever be released with the recently deceased Carrie Fisher who will reprise her role as Princess Laya.

Seriously, who’s the last Jedi?!

Rian Johnson is the director behind the film as well as the writer, while Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman will produce the flick and J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski will all executive produce.

By God, man, just answer my question!

Okay, okay, I’m sure many of you are wondering who the heck the “Last Jedi” really is. Well, we don’t know that yet, and it’s pretty hard to guess. Jedi can be either singular or plural, so this may concern just one Jedi or a whole fleet of Jedi. Who knows? All we can say is let’s not hope Luke dies.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
