It’s been announced that Microsoft will hold a live-streamed event on February 8th to showcase all the changes coming to Windows 10 in the Creators Update and what it means for developers. It’s a more app dev-focused stream, but anyone can watch by registering here.

For those who love extra details, the event’s title is “Windows Developer Day” and will explain “what’s new for developers in the Windows 10 Creators Update, what it means for your apps and games, and more about Microsoft’s latest developer products.” Kevin Gallo, director of the Windows Developer Program, will host the stream, while the below bullet points will be the main talking subjects during the event.

  • See what’s new with Windows developer tooling: UWP tooling, BASH, Developer mode, and more.

  • Learn about the latest XAML advancements and how UWP helps you build Windows apps that are more personal and productive.

  • Hear the developer story behind the recent announcements of Cortana skills and the new Windows mixed-reality headsets.

  • We’ll close out the event with a live Q&A panel to answer your burning questions.

Since Build 2017 has been delayed until May, it’s expected that February’s conference will be the final one to be based on the Creators Update, while Build will focus mainly on Redstone 3, the next major update coming to Windows 10 expected to arrive by the end of this year. We’ll bring you any noteworthy updates from the event right here on MBEDDED.
