HP’s 15.6-inch Spectre x360 is Getting a Major Upgrade

HP’s Spectre x360 has proven itself to be one of the best Windows laptops of all time to reviewers and the general public. And while we have yet to get our hands on one, it looks like the company won’t be taking their time in letting the 2-in-1 ride for a little while as today at CES 2017, Hewlett-Packard has announced an upgraded Spectre x360 with even more perks.

For starters, the 15.6-inch model now comes with a 4K resolution, bumping the standard 1080p resolution up significantly. You also now get Intel’s latest Kaby Lake chips inside alongside the Nvidia GeForce 940 MX GPU. In addition, two all-new front-facing Bang & Olufsen speakers come loaded on the laptop, while a bump in battery life has also taken place from  9 1/2 hours (9 hours 30 minutes) to 12 3/4 hours (12 hours 45 minutes). All in all, this is a pretty worthy upgrade over the last generation.

As of now, you can begin preordering the upgraded Spectre x360 from Best Buy starting at $1499. For those who strictly buy HP products from HP or are looking to spend less money, HP.com will also begin selling the laptop soon as well starting at $1279.
