iOS 10.2.1 Beta 1 is Now Available for Testing

Just two days ago, Apple finally released iOS 10.2, bringing Unicode 9.0 emojis and the new TV app to iPhones, iPads, and iPods everywhere. Now, the company is gearing up for the launch of the next software update hitting iOS devices soon with the release of the first beta of iOS 10.2.1, now rolling out to both developers and public beta testers with a weight of 1.82GB and a build number of 14D10.

Currently, it only looks like bug fixes and stability improvements are present in this update, however this makes sense as the case with dot-dot updates is usually under-the-hood improvements with not much facing the user directly. Of course, we’ll let you know if anything worth noting is discovered in the iOS 10.2.1 beta.

For those wondering, you can also send your discoveries to mbedded@icloud.com or via Twitter at @MBEDDEDMaximum.

To install the latest iOS 10.2.1 beta on your registered device, head over to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap “Download and install” next to the iOS 10.2.1 Beta 1 listing and you’ll be good to go. I recommend jumping on a Wi-Fi network first alongside plugging in your device beforehand as a) you don’t want data overcharges on your bill and b) you don’t want your phone or tablet to die during the installation process.
